The EURO-3C project has officially launched its website, providing the first public entry point into one of Europe’s most ambitious initiatives in digital infrastructure. EURO-3C (EUROpean 3C Networks for Secure Telco-Cloud-Edge) brings together a large European consortium working on a federated, secure and open computing continuum that connects telecommunications networks, edge computing and cloud services.

Running from July 2026 to June 2029, the project is funded under Horizon Europe and coordinated by Telefónica Innovación Digital. It involves 87 organisations across Europe, including telecom operators, cloud providers, technology vendors, research institutions, SMEs and public stakeholders. Together, they are developing a large-scale pilot infrastructure designed to support the next generation of digital services across Europe.

The newly launched website serves as the central communication hub for the project. It presents EURO-3C’s vision of a federated European computing continuum, where resources across telco, edge and cloud environments can operate seamlessly across providers and domains. It also provides an overview of the project’s six technical pillars, which include telco-cloud convergence, multi-level federation, interoperable XaaS services, AI-enabled orchestration, security by design and business sustainability.

A key objective of EURO-3C is to demonstrate how distributed infrastructures can be integrated into a coherent and trusted European ecosystem. The project will evolve more than 70 production edge nodes across 13+ countries and 15 infrastructure providers, enabling validation of nine large-scale use cases in sectors such as automotive, transport, energy and public protection and disaster relief.

Beyond technical development, EURO-3C plays an active role in shaping global standards and open-source ecosystems, contributing to initiatives such as 3GPP, ETSI, GSMA Operator Platform, Sylva, Nephio, Anuket and CAMARA. This alignment ensures that the outcomes of the project can be adopted more widely across industry and policy frameworks.

The website launch represents the first step in strengthening visibility and engagement with the broader innovation community, offering stakeholders a single point of access to updates, objectives and results as the project progresses.
